In addition to the report, last week we had held our most recent GMA Presents call with futurist and strategist, Melissa Clark-Reynolds which was all around Artificial Intelligence (A.I.) - a fascinating topic and presentation to match! We’ve taken lots of useable info from the presentation and you can find it all below:

  • Click here for the full recording including access to some of the key highlights for a quicker watch

  • Click here for Melissa’s slides

  • Click here for our notes on the key takeaways and insights from the call

As well as the above set of A.I. assets, this month we share the the Meat Business Women Inclusion Allyship Toolkit, which outlines the basics of allyship, inclusion and a practical checklist of the actions you can take in your businesses, and the impact on others. This was launched at MBW UK & Ireland conference held in London on 22 May and attended by GMA. (page 4)

BIODIVERSITY - READ MORE:
This month we also spoke to Professor Richard Eckard, from the University of Melbourne’s School of Agriculture, Food and Ecosystem Sciences, about how industry can take action on carbon that doesn’t lock us out of biodiversity in the future, and that efforts to reduce carbon footprints include selective breeding and dietary changes, plus all current best practices. You can read more on the other GMA blog here.

COLLABORATION: QMS & AHDB
A great industry collaboration launched just a couple of weeks ago we also covered this month; a major project from QMS and the Agriculture and Horticulture Development Board (AHDB) baselining pilot - revealing the net carbon position of farms, addressing the intense pressure faced by farmers to deliver on environmental targets. Read the full story here on the GMA blog as well.

As always, if you have any questions on any of the content, please feel free to connect with us, and do continue to share your organisation’s news and campaigns to provide great content in these reports!
