GMA Presents 2022: Global Meat Sector: ‘Big picture’ data and marketing trends

Data and marketing are among the most powerful tools at our disposal as we strive to connect the fragmented global meat industry.

In the first GMA Presents of 2022, attendees heard expert insights from Pollinate’s Howard Parry-Husbands and Mike Eastwood of Webalite addressing these very themes, and how they impact and, importantly, can be utilised by our industry.

‘Big picture’ data

Howard’s expert ability to capitalise on ‘big picture’ data that underpins today’s consumer behaviour is invaluable to the meat sector tackling challenges, especially in an evolving COVID world.

From the rising cost of red meat and how that affects its perception in consumers’ eyes, to the now routine expectation all industries address sustainability, Howard challenges traditional thinking with statistical, yet articulate, analysis.

Hear the emerging opportunities in changing behaviours and new markets in his presentation that your organisation can strategically use.

Emerging digital trends

Not just engaging, Mike gave an easy-to-understand navigation of the metaverse and emerging online trends in 2022.

A self-described “marketing geek”, he highlighted what to watch for in the digital world now and into the future, and how bodies and businesses in the meat world can use them to positively impact consumer behaviour.

While the alien terms of Position Zero, Omnichannel Marketing and NFTs might bamboozle some, Mike showed what other global sectors are doing to successfully use them.
