GMA Download – what’s it all about? 
This month we’re excited to share some updates to our strategy aimed at boosting global engagement. GMA are launching a brand new, dynamic format for our call content by sharing short, podcast-style video recordings called ‘GMA Download.’ These recorded episodes available via video and audio, as well as snapshot takeaway bullet points, will deliver timely, relevant info from global thought leaders and special guests. And the best part? You get to shape the content by requesting topics and asking questions, ensuring it’s always spot on.

A.I. Capabilities
Researchers at the University of Bonn in Germany developed new A.I. technology this month which suggests their findings could help guide farmers on how to raise crops more sustainably without sacrificing yields. Examples include creating an algorithm which would pinpoint to places in the field which need less fertiliser while producing the same productivity outcome. 

Consumer trends
This month AHDB shared new event-focused research to show the potential peaks for maximum interest in meat purchasing. Holidays and celebratory events were found to be key moments of elevated purchasing of beef, lamb, pork and dairy products due to the needs of consumers at different times of the year when celebrating.

 Carbon Calculator
This month, Agricultural Innovation Australia (AIA) has unveiled the Environmental Accounting Platform (EAP) - the country’s first cross-sectoral carbon accounting engine and carbon calculator. The tool, developed with the support of various Rural Development Corporations (RDCs) including GMA partners MLA and APL, aims to prevent the current inconsistencies.
